SUMMARY:Life Lessons from Eaton Canyon — An Artist and His Muse with Mikeernandez
DESCRIPTION:All Saints parishioner and resident artist Gregory Michael (Mike) Hernandez\, spent three years performing weekly runs from the entrance gates of Eaton Canyon to the waterfall and back. More\nthan just exercise\, it was intentional ritual and engagement\, taking the same path culminating in a dip at the falls – his own personal baptism’.\nLast year he finished a series of 8 paintings of his favorite spots on the trail. He wanted to record the landscape as it looked in a particular moment in time\, knowing it would eventually change. He\nphotographed each painting like a trail sign in situ. After 305 runs\, the Eaton Fire abruptly put a halt to the ritual.
