SUMMARY:Statecraft as Soulcraft: A Socratic Journey
DESCRIPTION:Group: Lent Offering 2026: Statecraft as Soulcraft: A Socratic Journey \nA six-week Lenten Zoom series meeting on Thursday evenings from February 19th through March 26th centered on selected readings from Plato’s Republic and one film for discussion. \n \nThough pre-Christian\, Plato profoundly shaped Christian thinkers such as Augustine and Boethius\, whose works have been the focus of previous All Saints Lenten studies. The Republic offers a rich framework for Lenten reflection by linking the formation of the soul with the health of society\, using vivid stories like the Allegory of the Cave and the Ring of Gyges to explore justice\, desire\, power\, and hope. \n \nBoth philosophical and spiritually resonant\, the series invites participants into thoughtful\, guided conversation about moral integrity\, public life\, and what it means to align oneself with the deeper moral order of the world in a time of social and political strain. \n \nRegister here. \n \nLed by David Hunt

SUMMARY:Writers Group
DESCRIPTION:Group: Writers Group \nThe All Saints Writers Group brings writers from different walks of life together to discuss their pieces in a workshop-style setting. Writers are able to give feedback and hear suggestions in any genre they choose (memoir\, creative nonfiction\, poetry\, etc.). This builds a sense of community\, and helps the writers to become more confident in their work. \n \nBe assured: whoever you are\, whatever you write\, there is a place for you here! \n \nSmall Group Facilitator: Bernice Fong

SUMMARY:Adult Children of Alcoholics Anonymous
DESCRIPTION:Group: Outside Groups \nWelcome to our Tony A. Study Meeting of Adult Children of Alcoholics & Dysfunctional Families. This is an open meeting and we welcome you. This meeting is an hour and half in duration. We read from Tony A.’s “The Laundry List: The ACoA Experience” book on the first\, third\, and fifth Tuesdays of the month and listen to Tony A.’s Florida presentation “why 12 new steps” on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. Then the floor is open for sharing on the topic or your personal experience. \nWe meet to share the experiences we had as children growing up in an alcoholic or dysfunctional home. That experience infected us then\, and it affects us today. By practicing Tony A.s’ Twelve Steps and by attending meetings regularly we gain clarity about the effects of alcoholism or other family dysfunction on our lives. As ACoA members\, we identify with The Laundry List Traits. We become healthy adults and learn to live in The Solution of re-parenting ourselves\, one day at a time.
