DESCRIPTION:Brunch & Learn: Women’s Community Presents Mona Morales Recalde of the Gabrieleno/Tongva Nation Council\nSaturday\, May 23\, 8:30 a.m. registration and light breakfast; 9:00-11:00 a.m. talk followed by Q & A in Sweetland Hall. \nMs. Mona Morales Recalde from the San Gabriel Band of Mission Indians Gabrieleno/Tongva\, led by the Gabrieleno–Tongva Council\, will come and share the history\, culture\, and present-day life and challenges faced by this first nation. Her talk will be followed by Q & A. We are also excited to have ASC member Hannah Earnshaw share the work their committee did to bring the Land Acknowledgement to our church. Any donations for the Gabrieleno-Tongva Council will be very much appreciated! Event Fee: $20. Register for this event here.
