Little Heart — a new play by acclaimed playwright Irene O’Garden — is based on the life of artist Corita Kent and explores her ongoing battle with arch-conservative Cardinal MacIntyre, as well as her private struggles with fellow sisters, students and her own spiritual doubt. The reading stars Amanda Plummer, is directed by John Pielmeier and will be presented on Saturday, July 18th at 2pm in the Forum at All Saints Church.
The reading is presented in conjunction with the exhibit of Corita’s work at the Pasadena Museum of California Art (PMCA) — and the exhibit will be open for extended hours until 6pm for attendees to visit the exhibition after the play. Parking at All Saints and at the PMCA. Free admission.
