A prayer for those who preach …

May Christ give all who preach,
whether it be in the pulpit, at the dinner table,
or with our hands and our feet,
the courage and the wisdom to stay on message.
And in those many times
when we don’t know what the message is or should be,
use those moments to remind us
that it is not ourselves we proclaim
but Christ crucified and resurrected.
Amen.
