Created in the Fall of 2014 by Rector Ed Bacon, the Climate Change Task Force called upon expert scientists and environmental activists in the parish to come together address the current realities of climate change in our world, nation, state and city – today. They seek to bring greater education and awareness to the faith community about the impact of climate change and ignite people into action at the personal and institutional levels. In the Spring of 2015 they presented the vestry with a radical resolution regarding climate change which was adopted. They will continue to lead the church in efforts to reduce our own institutional carbon footprint, while also encouraging the members of our faith community to do the same in their own homes and work places.
