“Most of us were taught that God would love us if and when we change. In fact, God loves you so that you can change. What empowers change, what makes you desirous of change is the experience of love. It is that inherent experience of love that becomes the engine of change.” ― Richard Rohr
We are thrilled to welcome back to All Saints Church Franciscan priest and spirituality author Richard Rohr. Author, teacher, activist and Director of the Center for Action & Contemplation, Rohr’s work and witness exemplifies his conviction that the overarching imperative of our time is to link spirituality and social justice. He will be our preacher at the 9:00 and 11:15 am services, our Rector’s Forum speaker at 10:15 am and then return Sunday evening for a very special Evening with Richard Rohr from 7:00 – 8:30 pm (in the church.)
He will stir us with teachings on what he calls “an alternative orthodoxy” — celebrating both the ancient spirituality of St. Francis while expressing a Christianity open both to science and to other world religions. He will also help us situate our work on racial justice, multiculturalism, and white privilege in the contemplative approach to the practice of radical compassion. Do NOT miss this opportunity to be energized and inspired by one of the most powerful faith leaders of his generation.
Register here for the evening event. Childcare provided.
