The Intersection of Domestic Abuse and Gun Violence

The mission of the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force of All Saints Church is to educate, advocate and organize to prevent gun violence and to respond to the impact of gun violence through sustained action in partnership with advocacy groups, elected officials, schools, children, youth, families, public safety and public health officials, and inter-faith leaders.

On Wednesday, November 15 the task force continues that work with an exploration of the intersection between domestic abuse and gun violence. Victims of domestic abuse are at high risk for gun tragedies and domestic abuse is often hidden — even in communities of faith. The program will address dynamics of domestic abuse, law enforcement action related to guns when responding to abuse calls, and resources for faith communities in addressing domestic abuse and gun violence.

Join us for this important and timely forum. Wednesday, November 15, 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Monte Cedro, 2212 El Molino Avenue, Altadena. A light brunch will be served.
