Thursday, November 3, 6:30-8:00 p.m. on Zoom. One definition of love is focused attention on the being of another. Through listening to others, we are loving. We live in a polarized nation when opposing sides can’t or won’t speak to each other, and that sometimes divides families and friends. Imagine a scenario where the point of a conversation would be to find common ground even if we disagree. This training is guided by the statement above about “focused attention”. The session will provide some of the research about the benefits of listening and then give the participants time to practice the strategies in a safe environment.
