Keith grew up in Issaquah, Wa.

He received two B.A.s at USC in Cinema and East Asian Languages and Cultures, studied for a year at Waseda University in Tokyo, and earned a Master’s in Cinema, also at USC.

Keith’s first job out of grad school was coincidentally with a small film company in Tokyo, and a job he expected to do abroad for a year or two turned into a wonderful 16 years directing (and writing) TV commercials and music videos in Japan.

He has two kids, Randy and Amy, the joys of his life, both of whom were born in Tokyo and are also fluent in Japanese (and much smarter than their dad!). He hasn’t hugged his 18 month old grandson, Rheuben — the cutest in history (I know everyone SAYS their’s is the cutest, but this is actually TRUE!)– since he was 3 months old when he moved with his parents to Texas, and that’s tough.

Keith has the greatest dad in the world — who’s going on 92 and wants to see his great-grandson (truly the cutest ever!) in Texas. We’ve both made it through the pandemic, so far, and have big dreams!

Vaccinate, people! That will help Keith see his grandson. And it will help his dad tell “dad jokes” to his great-grandson!
