AIDS and COVID19: What one pandemic can teach us about another: December 6 at 10am

The COVID19 pandemic is bringing back tragic memories for those who survived the early years of the AIDS pandemic. The politicization of a global health crisis and huge disparities in care are chief among the similarities.

Join us on Sunday, December 6 for a timely and important Rector’s Forum with Dr. Steven Thrasher, the Daniel H. Renberg Chair of Social Justice in Reporting (with an emphasis on issues relevant to the LGBTQ community) and author of the forthcoming book, The Viral Underclass: How Racism, Ableism and Capitalism Plague Humans on the Margins from Celadon Books and Macmillan. Dr. Thrasher will be joined by All Saints rector Mike Kinman and Peter Hulit and Art McDermott of All Saints Church to talk about what we can learn from the AIDS pandemic as we face COVID today.

Link goes live at 9:45 a.m. https://allsaints-pas.org/live-stream/ on Sunday morning.
