Beige in a Black and White World: What stories are helpful in this moment of urgency?

“Learning to navigate [privilege] can be a bridge to having and teaching empathy.” Jason Luckett

Joyfully obliterating his own comfort level, Jason Luckett writes, sings, and plays to break down barriers between cultures and genders with compassionate honesty. A singer, songwriter, guitarist, and essayist, Jason has performed and read his work worldwide for over 25 years. Born in Hawaii and spending most of his childhood in Irvine, CA, Jason has roots in Mississippi (African American father) and Maine (White mother).

On Sunday, July 12 the All Saints Church Racial Justice Ministry is delighted to welcome Jason for an afternoon of inspiration and conversation.

Join us online from 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. as Jason offers his experiences navigating a “black and white“ world as a bi-racial man and artist and explores his own privilege — followed by a discussion in which you can participate regarding your personal experiences with “navigation.”
