At 1:00 p.m., Alfredo Feregrino will preach at the bilingual Spanish/English service, where Dan Cole & Ensemble will offer music. This week we put our faith in action with California YIMBY’s petition to Governor Newsom, calling on him to protect all California tenants. California can’t afford a new era of housing insecurity as a result of COVID-19, and though Governor Newsom made progress for renters last month when he delayed eviction proceedings by at least 60 days, existing protections don’t go far enough to keep Californians housed. The petition includes a list of demands designed to alleviate some of the biggest pressures faced by California renters.
