Let’s Talk about the Cancellation of this Sunday’s Spring Choir Concert
4:30-6:30 p.m. in the Learning Center.

As many of you are aware, we canceled this Sunday’s spring choir concert due to concerns raised within the congregation. This experience has brought to the surface pain and conflict within our own beloved community here at All Saints. James Baldwin once said, “Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.” In partnership with California Conference of Equality and Justice (CCEJ): https://www.cacej.org/, we will be providing a dialogue and healing session for the Choir and Congregation this Sunday, June 2nd. This will be a time of guided facilitation and dialogue, with the hope of helping us navigate this conflict in a way that is healthy and moves us towards becoming a beloved community. Sally Howard noted in her sermon last Sunday that God “invites us to give ourselves over to love, not to compete, but to complete each other, in God’s image who is unity across diversity.” This work will contribute to us embodying the beloved community that we seek to become. CCEJ has a rich history of helping people of differing viewpoints gain better understanding of each other. Food will be provided beforehand.
