On Saturday, February 25, join us for a screening of the documentary film Blurring the Color Line: Chinese in the Segregated South, followed by discussion of the film.
In the Forum from 2:00-4:00 p.m. The Asian Pacific Islander American (APIA) And Friends Community and All Saints’ Racial Justice Ministry will present a viewing of the film followed by a Q & A with the Director, Crystal Kwok. Crystal Kwok unpacks the history behind her grandmother’s family, who were neighborhood grocery store owners in the Black community of Augusta, Georgia during the Jim Crow era. This documentary serves to disrupt racial narratives and bridge divides.
Or if you can’t join us, you can register to view film at home by emailing the Racial Justice Ministry at rjm.ascpas@gmail.com. A few days before event we’ll send a link to watch the film, and a link & time to watch the Q & A afterward.
