Dr. Michael Friedman, Emeritus Cancer Center Director of the City of Hope, is a medical oncology specialist and is the retired CEO of the City of Hope, 2003-2013. The City of Hope, based in Duarte, is one of only 41 comprehensive cancer centers nationwide and has been a fixture in the San Gabriel Valley for the last century. He was also an original board member of California’s Institute for Regenerative Medicine, also known as the California Stem Cell Agency. Dr. Friedman will speak on The Advances of Cancer Treatments.
