On Sunday, March 12, at 9:00 a.m. in the Forum, we welcome back our favorite film critic Ken Turan for his annual pre-Academy Awards look at what’s hot and what’s not in recent film festivals and in the Oscar race. Before his April 2020 retirement, Ken was film critic for the Los Angeles Times and National Public Radio’s Morning Edition as well as the director of the Los Angeles Times Book Prizes. He has been a staff writer for the Washington Post as well as The Times’ book review editor. A graduate of Swarthmore College and Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, he teaches film reviewing and non-fiction writing at USC – and we are so grateful to have him back with us to “talk movies” on Oscar Sunday. Bring your questions and get ready for a whole lot of fun! All are welcome!
