In 1998, All Saints Church constructed and dedicated a Columbarium on the second floor of the bell tower in the balcony alcove, consisting of 434 niches, each capable of containing two urns (“companion niches”).
The name “Columbarium” is from the Latin word columba, meaning “dovecote,” the dove being a symbol of God’s spirit and peace. Cremation historically has been a widely accepted means of burial among most religions and, with increased urbanization and ecological awareness, it continues to gain acceptance, particularly with the development of aesthetic, well-designed Columbaria that provide lasting memorialization.
The Columbarium at All Saints is a quiet, meditative place to honor loved ones. All are welcome to visit the Columbarium.
