Dolores Huerta is among the most important yet under celebrated activists in American history. An equal partner in co-founding the first farm workers unions with Cesar Chavez, her enormous contributions have gone largely unrecognized. Dolores tirelessly led the fight for racial and labor justice alongside Chavez, becoming one of the most defiant feminists of the twentieth century—and she continues the fight to this day, at the age of 87.
We are honored to host a free screening of “Dolores” — the award winning documentary film celebrating her extraordinary life on Saturday, May 19.
The film will be screened in English with Spanish subtitles, followed by talk back with Dolores Huerta and a reception on the lawn. Doors open 5:30 p.m.
