“…These 19-year-old kids who’ve lived in the U.S. since they were one, didn’t even speak any Spanish, and they got deported five minutes before and you see them, and there’s just this face that I’ve seen a million times, and it’s like complete despair and confusion and horror — and like not knowing what the next second is supposed to be. These are teenagers. But of course they’re not children in the eyes of ICE because they’re 18.”
