Every week we put our faith into action at All Saints Church and this Sunday we join our voices with those demanding universal testing in every jail across LA County because a life is a life and there is no one life that is of greater value than any other.

Testing in jails is critical because these institutions hold a medically defenseless community who are vulnerable to the most serious harms of COVID-19.

There should be no distinction between nursing homes and correctional institutions because both facilities are at highest risk because they cannot comply with social distancing mandates and both need to be given the highest level of attention. Prisons and jails that have implemented universal testing have discovered MANY more cases, including asymptomatic “silent spreaders.”
