Faith in Action:November 1 – 100% Voting Congregation!

Every week at All Saints Church and for the past few weeks, we have and will be putting our faith into action by voting. We have espoused a goal of being a 100% voting congregation. We would like to follow up on that goal aimed at strengthening our democratic government by our full participation.

As a final push towards election day, we invite you to join in the following pledge and we ask for your feedback on this election:

  • We pledge to vote or make a plan to vote.
  • We pledge to encourage others to vote.
  • We ask your position on propositions 15 and 20 and L.A. County measure J.
  • We ask how you voted or plan to vote. (In person, by mail or drop box)
  • We ask how you feel about this election.

If you have not yet voted, you still have until Tuesday, November 3, to do so.

You can still vote by mail if your ballot is postmarked by November 3. This year California is allowing the postal service 17 days to get your ballot to them. So, if your ballot is postmarked November 3 and election officials get it by November 20, it will count. Please remember to carefully read and follow all instructions. Sign, date and write you address where indicated on the outside of the envelope.

You can vote at any vote center located within the county where you are registered through Tuesday November 3 until 8 PM. Remember, if you are in line by 8 PM, they have to let you vote. If you live in Los Angeles County, go on line to “lavote.net” for voting center locations and hours.

You can still register to vote and cast a ballot in person at any one of the Voting Centers through Election Day, November 3rd.

As the people of the United States cast their votes for the office of president and many other offices throughout the land, we gather to pray to the God who is the Creator of us all. We pray that we might learn to stand and hold each other’s hands as the children of God. – Presiding Bishop Michael Curry

Please vote. Thank you.
