Featured Ministry: Interfaith Study Group

Each week we feature one of the many ministries that make up the work and witness of All Saints Church. This week we feature the Interfaith Study Group (ISG). The ISG was founded in 2007 as a joint effort by All Saints Church, the Islamic Center of Southern California, and the Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center to learn and appreciate the commonalities and differences between our religious faiths. The ISG meets on the second Sunday of each month between September and June from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m.

On Sunday, February 12, 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the Islamic Center of Southern California, 434 S Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, the Interfaith Study Group will offer “The Changing News Landscape: From Cronkite to Fake News”
Please join us as Val Zavala presents “The Changing News Landscape.” Ms. Zavala spent 30 years as a broadcast journalist at KCET public television in LA – winning numerous journalism awards, including 19 LA Area Emmy® Awards. She retired in 2018. During her time at LA’s preeminent PBS station, she served as a reporter, anchor, producer and VP of News and Public Affairs. For much of that time she was also anchor of Life & Times and executive producer/anchor of SoCal Connected.

Please bring an open heart and mind willing to listen and learn, and a vegetarian dish to share in our potluck.
