The holy season of Lent — the 40 days of preparation for Easter — has historically been marked by the taking on of spiritual disciplines including prayer, study, fasting and almsgiving — defined as “material assistance to those in need prompted by love of humankind.”
It has been our custom at All Saints to take on a collective Lenten project to assist those in need — and this year we are participating in a Lenten Clothing Drive in support of asylum seekers, refugees and migrants coming from Central America to the San Diego area.
To support individuals and families who are in need as they begin their immigration journey in the United States you can help by purchasing item(s) and donating them directly to our partners at Good Samaritan Episcopal Church who are daily serving those who are coming into the community.
