On Saturday, January 18th the ASC “Holy Hikers” will take to the streets of Downtown Los Angeles — joining thousands of others at the 4th Annual Women’s Foundation March.
“In 2020 women are rising to affirm that women’s rights are human rights and human rights are women’s rights. Women are rising to power and demanding justice for people of all genders, ages, races, cultures, political affiliations, disabilities and backgrounds. In the 2018 midterm election, a record-breaking 103 women were elected to Congress and have risen to assert powerful and courageous leadership in every area from the economy to foreign policy to government accountability.
Women’s March LA creates a space in the midst of Los Angeles for powerful speakers, activists, artists and community leaders to rise and share work aligned with the Women’s March Platform. The 4th Annual Women’s March LA will be a moment when women rise for justice, rise for equity, and rise in power.”
From Holy Hikers ministry leader Aubin Wilson:
We will be marching for those who cannot march, for those who are marginalized, for the planet, for change, for ourselves & for (fill in the blank).
We will meet in front of All Saints Church at 8:20am, depart for Memorial Station at 8:30am, hop on the Metro and head to Pershing Square in DTLA.
Bring a sign, comfortable walking clothes, water, a snack & bring your Metro card that is loaded with a RT fare. Need help getting a Metro pass? Here’s how you can get one
