Sabbath Day: Monday
Rev. Jonathan T. Stoner serves as a Spiritual Care provider at City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center, caring for patients, partners, and providers as they navigate sickness, suffering, and major life transitions. In his role as an interfaith hospital chaplain, he facilitates Bereavement Support Groups for those grieving the loss of a loved one to cancer and the Caregivers Connect group for anyone caring for a loved one with a cancer diagnosis. Jonathan attended Fuller Theological Seminary where he received his Master of Divinity in June 2017.
He discovered his calling as a hospital chaplain after graduation while working nights at a busy trauma center in Los Angeles. Drawn to All Saints Pasadena because of their focus on radical inclusivity and social justice, Jonathan began discerning ordination there in 2015 and in January 2024 was ordained as an Episcopal priest. Originally from West Michigan, Jonathan was a Film Studies major in college who nurtured dreams of becoming a Hollywood filmmaker. He remains a cinephile who loves live theater, enjoys getting lost in fantasy novels, and delights in singing along with his favorite bands on long road trips.
