I am thrilled to announce that Terry Knowles will be joining the All Saints Church staff on a three-year appointment as Director of Giving and Stewardship. She was officially introduced to the congregation at all four services Sunday.
As we have been pondering the future of this position, and what the greatest needs and opportunities are at this stage of our common life, we have been immensely blessed by having Marianne Ryan with us in an interim capacity. Her incredible work gave us the stability to look at the future without anxiety and with great care.
That time of thinking and listening to wisdom from a wide variety of voices led me to a different way of thinking about this position. As we have embarked on our Four Foundational Goals to build and strengthen All Saints Church’s foundation of love, I realized we have an opportunity to find someone uniquely gifted to similarly strengthen our foundation of giving and generosity and who for a defined period of time could help lead us and prepare us for a thriving future.
We received many applications from around the country and I interviewed several excellent candidates from within our congregation – a testament to our deep reservoir of talent as we embark on this work together. It became clear that Terry was the perfect person for this moment … with 27 years as part of All Saints Church, a long and impressive resume in not-for-profit leadership and development, and a deep love for this community and all we value. As we talked, a three-year vision began to take shape of how we could all grow together as a community of giving and generosity, and I am excited that she has enthusiastically agreed to take this position and lead our giving and stewardship ministry for the next three years.
Terry will begin her duties on April 16. Please join me in welcoming her to the All Saints staff. I look forward to all we can do and be together!
Con el amor de Cristo,
