In what has become a decades-long All Saints tradition, Los Angeles Times film critic and author Kenneth Turan will present his lively annual pre-Academy Awards look at what’s hot and what’s not in recent film festivals and in the Oscar race — on Academy Awards day — in the Rector’s Forum, on Sunday, Feb. 9, at 10:15 a.m.
Ken is also film critic for National Public Radio’s Morning Edition as well as the director of the Los Angeles Times Book Prizes. He has been a staff writer for the Washington Post as well as the Times’ book review editor. A graduate of Swarthmore College and Columbia University’s graduate School of Journalism, he teaches film reviewing and non-fiction writing at USC.
Come with questions, and come early! This is always one of the most popular Rector’s Forums of the year. Don’t miss this opportunity to see one of America’s great film critics! All are welcome. Admission is free. All Saints Church is at 132 N. Euclid Ave., Pasadena 91101, across Euclid from Pasadena City Hall.
