Sunday, March 26 | 10:15 – 11:00 a.m.
Don’t miss the chance to learn from and be inspired by the amazing Lorna Miller. Lorna joins us for our adult education hour on Sunday, March 26th to share her family’s experience of fleeing from the Armenian genocide, making a home in Lebanon and ultimately immigrating to Pasadena.
“These life changing experiences have made me very sensitive to the present plight of refugees who uproot themselves from home and homelands to find a safe and secure place for their families!” — Lorna Miller
Lorna served as the director of the Office for Creative Connections (OCC) here at All Saints Church from 1985 to 2010.Among the programs launched during her tenure were Young and Healthy ( providing free health care for children from low income families)Transformational Journeys and City Conversations. She provided leadership to the creation of CORAL — an after school literacy enhancement program — and was one of the founders of New Vision Partners –an Interfaith peace and justice program.
Her research and programmatic activities both locally and in Armenia and Rwanda were based on extensive interviews with people who are seeking justice, equality and a public voice in decisions related to their welfare and future.
Come and meet Lorna and find inspiration and motivation for the living of these days as we conclude our Positive Futures series with her powerful witness.
