Rector’s Forum, February 17th: Off to the Oscars

“The notion of ‘best’ is a subjective notion. Subjectivity is baked into it. But again one reason that critics awards and other things are important is not that people vote for what the critics like, it’s that if it gets critical attention people will look at it. And because there are so many films, getting people to even look at your film is a big plus.”

Presentation in the Rector’s Forum by Kenneth Turan at All Saints Church, Pasadena, on Sunday, February 17, 2019.
