“[Sharia law] is a 100% man-made construct. It is not God’s law. It is the extrapolation of the understanding of the Qur’an by medieval men. By politicians. By religious leaders. And they conflate that and mesh it up with social norms of the day like female genital mutilation and cutting, forced child marriage — misogynistic stuff, right? They mesh it all up and call it Sharia law.”
