Join us on Sunday, April 8 at 10:15 a.m. as we welcome back Sheri Bonner — President and CEO of Planned Parenthood San Gabriel Valley (PPSGV) — to the Rector’s Forum for an important conversation on the ongoing work for reproductive justice.

Sheri has been a part of the Planned Parenthood family for over 25 years and has served Planned Parenthood Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley since 2004. Under Sheri’s leadership it has grown from a single health center in Pasadena to four health centers across the San Gabriel Valley. In 2015, Sheri was selected by her peers to receive the Ruth Green Award, which is presented annually to a CEO for their outstanding contributions to the Planned Parenthood mission – it is the highest recognition given in the Planned Parenthood world. Born and raised in the Washington, D.C. area, Sheri received her degree from Towson University in Baltimore and lives in Pasadena with her husband and son … and is a member of All Saints Church.

The forum will focus on the current status reproductive justice at both the federal and state levels and address and include strategies to respond to opposition from and challenges of the current Presidential administration. We will review active pieces of legislation at both levels and explore the PPSGV commitment to organizing/community building and addressing the intersectional nature of this important work.
