Mike Kinman, Rector of All Saints Church, sent this staffing update to the parish this afternoon:
It is with both joy and sadness that I share that Antonio Gallardo has accepted a call to be priest in charge of St. Luke’s of the Mountains in La Crescenta. His last Sunday at All Saints Church will be February 3.
I cannot begin to express how much Antonio has meant to this church and to me personally. He has been a prophetic voice, a treasured colleague and a faithful pastor to our entire congregation as well as providing specific leadership to the Latino-Hispanic community within All Saints Church.
We will miss Antonio dearly even as we celebrate that God has called him to begin his priestly ministry leading the people of St. Luke’s.
As God has called Antonio to a new place, we are invited into our own period of discernment here at All Saints Church. I am working with the wardens, vestry and the leadership of the 1 pm congregation to talk about next steps, and we will be communicating more about that in the coming weeks.
I am, as I have always been, honored to be the rector of this entire congregation. I look forward to using this time following Antonio’s departure to continue to deepen my relationship with the Latino-Hispanic portion of our community.
I hope you will feel proud of the role we have taken in preparing Antonio for this new and exciting ministry. And as a sign of that, I hope you will join me at 10 am Saturday at St. John’s Pro-Cathedral (514 W. Adams) as Antonio is ordained priest — and again on Sunday as he presides at Eucharist for the first time at all four services.
And, of course, continue to keep Antonio, St. Luke’s and All Saints Church in your prayers.

Queridos hermanas y hermanos en Cristo,
Es con alegría y tristeza a la vez que comparto la noticia de que Antonio Gallardo ha aceptado un llamado a ser sacerdote encargado de la iglesia de San Lucas de las Montañas en la Crescenta. Su último domingo en la iglesia de todos los Santos será el 3 de Febrero.
No puedo comenzar a expresar lo que Antonio ha significado para esta iglesia y para mí personalmente. El ha sido una voz profética, un colega atesorado y un pastor fiel a toda nuestra congregación, además de proporcionar liderazgo específico a la comunidad Latino-Hispana dentro de la iglesia de todos los Santos.
Extrañaremos mucho a Antonio aun mientras celebramos que Dios lo ha llamado a comenzar su ministerio sacerdotal dirigiendo a la gente de San Lucas.
Así como Dios ha llamado a Antonio a un nuevo lugar, nosotros estamos invitados a nuestro propio período de discernimiento aquí en la iglesia de todos los Santos. Yo estoy trabajando con los guardianes, la Junta Parroquial y el liderazgo de la congregación de la 1:00 pm para conversar acerca de los próximos pasos, y estaremos comunicando más al respecto en las próximas semanas.
Yo estoy, como siempre lo he estado, honrado de ser el rector de toda esta congregación. Espero utilizar el tiempo después de la partida de Antonio para continuar profundizando mi relación con la porción Latino-hispana de nuestra comunidad.
Espero que se sientan orgullosos del papel que hemos tenido en la preparación de Antonio para este nuevo y emocionante ministerio. Y como un signo de eso, espero que se unan a mí a las 10 AM el Sábado en la Catedral de San Juan (514 W. Adams) donde Antonio será ordenado sacerdote — y de nuevo el domingo, donde él presidirá la Eucaristía por primera vez en los cuatro servicios.
Y, por supuesto, sigan manteniendo a Antonio, a la iglesia de San Lucas y a todos los Santos en sus oraciones.
