November 3 is All Saints Sunday, our Parish Feast Day.
We celebrate the truth that this community,
what we call the communion of saints, is stronger than death.
All Saints Sunday is when we traditionally honor relatives and friends who have died within the past year. At all services our memorial book, containing the names of loved ones, will be placed on the altar. You are invited to look in the memorial book for the name of the person you love.
Tim Rich will preach at 7:30 and 10:00 a.m. Coventry Choir and Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Weicheng Zhao, will offer Requiem by Maurice Duruflé, a work of remarkable beauty and power. ASL interpretation is available at 10:00 a.m.
NOTE: Incense will be used during the 10 a.m. service. If you’d like to sit in an“incense-free” zone, there is seating outside on the lawn.
REMINDER: Daylight Savings ends at 2 a.m., November 3. Set your clocks back one hour Saturday evening.
“Walking in Love” Giving Campaign Continues This Sunday
This Sunday we continue our annual giving/pledge campaign. This is an intentional time to consider how you can participate in supporting All Saints’ financially in 2025. Your gift enables All Saints to build upon our journey of inclusion, our efforts in activism and lead to experiences of joy, equipping this community to witness to God’s love into our troubled world. Over the next several weeks, we invite you to prayerfully consider your pledge. You can make your pledge online: https://allsaints-pas.org/pledge, use the pledge card in the pew rack or mail in your pledge card you received by mail. You can also set up a recurring pledge donation (weekly, monthly, etc) at https://allsaints-pas.org/giving/. Every Sunday at 4:00 p.m. on Zoom — Reclaiming the Bible
This is “bible study” with a difference. Our goal will be to heal and move beyond the misunderstanding, confusion, hurtful interpretation, oppression, and other ways our bible has been used against us. Jesus is the Word of God, and God’s Word is one of love, hope, and reconciliation. This is the bible we’ll strive together to come home to in this small group study. Facilitated by Dr. Charles Foster. Contact Dr. Foster at drcharlesfoster@icloud.com for Zoom access.
5:00 p.m. in the Church — Dia de los Muertos Service
Join us for a special Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) service as we come together to honor and remember our loved ones who have passed, blending them with our Christian faith in a time of remembrance, reflection, and hope. The service will feature prayer, music, and a beautiful ofrenda (altar) where you are welcome to place photos, mementos, or names of departed loved ones. Together, we will celebrate the lives of those who have shaped our journey and remember that in Christ, love and life are eternal. All are welcome. Please bring a photo or small item in memory of your loved ones if you wish. We look forward to sharing this meaningful evening with you.
