Co-opting Jesus for the Rich
with Brian Robinson
The movement we now call Christianity underwent profound evolution in the first few centuries of its existence. This presentation will examine this evolution in the Epistle to Diognetus, a second century Christian text, and how the movement went from the radical teachings of Jesus that center the financially marginalized (poor) to a movement that secured the positions and fortunes of the wealthy. (Sweetland Hall)

Parking on Sundays:
- On Sunday mornings, please note that the entire south-side of the North Parking Lot (just north of the church on the corner of Euclid Ave. & Walnut St.) is reserved for people with mobility difficulties.
For regular parking, follow ASC Parking signs to Plaza Las Fuentes (garage entrance on Union) or the Kaiser Parking Structure (on the northeast corner of Euclid Ave. and Walnut). Sunday parking at Plaza Las Fuentes is only validated until 1:00 p.m. — after which parking fees accrue. If you’re staying later, please park in the Kaiser Parking Structure, which is free and open until 4:00 p.m.
