Addressing the Skid Row Within
with Vijay Gupta
We heal the world by healing ourselves. Vijay Gupta is a violinist, social justice advocate, and is the founder and Artistic Director of Street Symphony, a non-profit organization providing musical engagement, dialogue and teaching artistry for homeless and incarcerated communities in Los Angeles. Street Symphony is a movement into mutuality with our unhoused neighbors, exploring the power of music and relationship to bring us together, not only from a place of unidirectional charity, but from a place of human exchange. (Forum)

The Circle of Life: Issues of Aging Parents
2:30–4:00 p.m. in the Learning Center. Many of us face the joys and challenges of having aging parents. Roles often change and losses occur, both great and small. Mike Kinman and Sally Howard will offer a time for those of us facing the issues of aging parents to gather together. The meeting will allow us to share our experiences and explore the possibilities for support, exchange of information, and education. Information = Ana Camacho, 626.583.2737 or acamacho@allsaints-pas.org.

At 5:00 p.m.:
Advent Festival of Lessons and Carols
5:00 p.m. in the Church. In the warm ambience of the candlelit church, Coventry Choir offers motets, carols and canticles of intense, mystical beauty. A meditation by Mike Kinman focuses on the meaning of the coming of the Christ in a contemporary context. The choir, directed by Weicheng Zhao, will perform music of Betinis, Ord, Bruckner, Archer, Memley, and Willan. Child care provided. Families should stay with their children as this area is not staffed. All are welcome to sit in the chapel; please be understanding whenever our youngest members make a joyful noise.

Parking on Sundays:

  • On Sunday mornings, please note that the entire south-side of the North Parking Lot (just north of the church on the corner of Euclid Ave. & Walnut St.) is reserved for people with mobility difficulties.

For regular parking, follow ASC Parking signs to Plaza Las Fuentes (garage entrance on Union) or the Kaiser Parking Structure (on the northeast corner of Euclid Ave. and Walnut). Sunday parking at Plaza Las Fuentes is only validated until 1:00 p.m. — after which parking fees accrue. If you’re staying later, please park in the Kaiser Parking Structure, which is free and open until 4:00 p.m.
