This coming Sunday, February 11, will be the final Sunday in our Epiphany Preaching Series: “A Season of Wisdom & Revelation.” This Epiphany season, we’ve heard from some incredible prophetic voices. They have revealed God’s wisdom to us in new ways.

Associate Rector, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Long Beach and a Dreamer (DACA recipient), Nancy is a powerful preacher, teacher and witness to the power of God’s liberating love.

At 9:00 and 11:15 a.m., Coventry Choir offers And I Saw a New Heaven by Bainton and Lift Thine Eyes by Mendelssohn. At 11:15 a.m. Troubadours offer Shine On Me by Dilworth.

At the 1:00 p.m. Bilingual Spanish/English service music will be offered by Dan Cole and the 1 PM Ensemble.

Welcome Coffees are held for visitors after both the 9:00 and 11:15 a.m. services in the Rector’s Office, across the quad lawn from the sanctuary.

Rector’s Forum: with Nancy Frausto — The Rev. Nancy Frausto, Associate Rector of St. Luke’s, is the Diocese of Los Angeles’ first Latina leader to have grown up in a Spanish-speaking Episcopal Church who has gone on to pursue ordination. Her experience and passion for the ministry of ‘scrappy churches’ (her affectionate term for struggling congregations) has led her to serve two thriving multicultural, multilingual, multigenerational congregations.

Offerings for Children

New Creative Worship Space for Families in the Chapel!
Families are invited to worship together through art and play on our new rug in the chapel during any part of the service. Families should stay with their children as this area is not staffed. All are welcome to sit in the chapel; please be understanding whenever our youngest members make a joyful noise.

Preschool (ages 2–4) in Scott Hall 9:00 a.m. — Infant and Child Care and Storytelling 10:15-11:00 a.m. — Sunday School and Worship (Rooms 2 & 3) 11:15 a.m. — Infant and Child Care

Children’s Chapel in the Learning Center (9:00 and 11:15 a.m.) Children K–5th grade join their families in church at the beginning services, then follow the banner out for Children’s Chapel before the sermon, returning for communion. Parents are always welcome to join us in Children’s Chapel.

Parking on Sundays Sunday parking at Plaza Las Fuentes (Westin Hotel) is only validated until 1:00 p.m. — after which parking fees accrue. If you are attending the 1:00 p.m. Spanish Language/Bilingual Service or staying for an afternoon event, please park at the Kaiser parking structure, north of the church on the northeast corner of Euclid Ave. and Walnut, where the parking is free.
