This Sunday at All Saints: February 16

On Sunday, February 16th, at 7:30, 9:00 & 11:15 a.m. the Rev. Jordan Cantwell preaches. Moderator of the United Church of Canada, 2015–2018, she was ordained as a minister of the United Church and is the first openly lesbian person to lead a major Christian denomination. Cantwell has acknowledged that although the United Church is in a state of change due to falling membership, “We are fundamentally a people of hope. Our story is one of hope, and when we tap into that I think we are our best selves and we are what we are called to be and we have something to offer the world.”

Mike Kinman preaches at the 1:00 p.m. Spanish language service.

At 9:00 & 11:15 a.m. Canterbury Choir offers Walk Together, Children arr. by Hogan and Verbum caro by Palestrina. At 1:00 p.m. Dan Cole & Ensemble offer music of Hernández.

On the Chancel. Calabria Foti is an American singer, violinist, composer, arranger, author, and educator. A consummate musician and a dynamic entertainer, Calabria is a connoisseur of music, from Classical to Broadway. Mike Kinman offers a meditation. “Listening to this recording of Calabria Foti’s voice is some of the most beautiful and artistic music I have ever heard. Preschool (ages 2–4) in Scott Hall 9:00 a.m. — Infant and Child Care and Storytelling 10:15-11:00 a.m. — Infant and Child Care 11:15 a.m.

Children’s Chapel in the Learning Center (9:00 and 11:15 a.m.) Children K–5th grade join their families in church at the beginning services, then follow the banner out for Children’s Chapel before the sermon, returning for communion. Parents are always welcome to join us in Children’s Chapel.

Visit our Creative Worship Space for Families in the Chapel!
Families are invited to worship together through art and play on our rug in the chapel during any part of the 9:00 and 11:15 a.m. Sunday services. Families should stay with their children as this area is not staffed. All are welcome to sit in the chapel; please be understanding whenever our youngest members make a joyful noise.

Parking on Sundays:

  • On Sunday mornings, please note that the entire south-side of the North Parking Lot (just north of the church on the corner of Euclid Ave. & Walnut St.) is reserved for people with mobility difficulties.

For regular parking, follow ASC Parking signs to Plaza Las Fuentes (garage entrance on Union) or the Kaiser Parking Structure (on the northeast corner of Euclid Ave. and Walnut). Sunday parking at Plaza Las Fuentes is only validated until 1:00 p.m. — after which parking fees accrue. If you’re staying later, please park in the Kaiser Parking Structure, which is free and open until 4:00 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE: On Sundays, All Saints Church can be a very busy place. It is a good idea to plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the service in order to have ample time to park and make your way to the church.
