Rector’s Forum: King in 2020: What Are We Dreaming? Where Are We Going?

On Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Sunday, All Saints Church welcomes local Black Lives Matters leaders to the Rector’s Forum at 10:15 a.m. Andre Henry, Blair Imani (also launching her new book: Making Our Way Home: The Great Migration and the Black American Dream), and Jasmine Richards will discuss the state of the Dr. King’s dream today, and where it is leading.
Andre Henry holds a B.A. in Practical Theology and an M.A. in Theology with an emphasis in Biblical Languages. He’s passionate about music, faith, racial justice, and social change. Blair Imani is a critically-acclaimed historian, outspoken advocate and activist, and dynamic public speaker. We will discuss her latest book Making Our Way Home: The Great Migration and the Black American Dream. Copies will be available for purchase. Jasmine Richards is founder of the Pasadena chapter of Black Lives Matter.

Children’s Chapel in the Learning Center (9:00 and 11:15 a.m.) Children K–5th grade join their families in church at the beginning services, then follow the banner out for Children’s Chapel before the sermon, returning for communion. Parents are always welcome to join us in Children’s Chapel.

Families are invited to worship together through art and play on our rug in the chapel during any part of the 9:00 and 11:15 a.m. Sunday services. Families should stay with their children as this area is not staffed. All are welcome to sit in the chapel; please be understanding whenever our youngest members make a joyful noise.
Parking on Sundays:
- On Sunday mornings, please note that the entire south-side of the North Parking Lot (just north of the church on the corner of Euclid Ave. & Walnut St.) is reserved for people with mobility difficulties.
For regular parking, follow ASC Parking signs to Plaza Las Fuentes (garage entrance on Union) or the Kaiser Parking Structure (on the northeast corner of Euclid Ave. and Walnut). Sunday parking at Plaza Las Fuentes is only validated until 1:00 p.m. — after which parking fees accrue. If you’re staying later, please park in the Kaiser Parking Structure, which is free and open until 4:00 p.m.
PLEASE NOTE: On Sundays, All Saints Church can be a very busy place. It is a good idea to plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the service in order to have ample time to park and make your way to the church.
