We are delighted to welcome Andre Henry back to our virtual pulpit at the 11:15 a.m. service this week. A powerful and prophetic preacher and long time friend of All Saints, Andre currently serves as the racial justice coordinator for Evangelicals for Social Action. He is passionate about music, faith, racial justice, and social change. You can find him on Twitter @andrehenry, and more of his writing at http://andrerhenry.com.
The morning begins at 10:00 a.m. with The Intersection Between Race and COVID-19 … a timely and important Rector’s Forum.
As our world navigates the challenges brought to us by the global pandemic of COVID-19, we have discovered how we are all made vulnerable by a highly contagious virus that threatens our health and life. Yet, with a virus that can infect anyone, not everyone is impacted by COVID in the same ways. Public health professionals, clinicians and scientists are seeing how race plays a large role in the outcomes of COVID-19 transmission and infection rates. Join the discussion with the Deputy Director of the Pasadena Public Health Department, Manuel Carmona; Epidemiologist, Dr. Nicole Gatto; and physician, Dr. Giancarlo DiMassa, to learn how race and COVID-19 intersect in ways that reveal we are living through a racialized pandemic.
From 11 to 11:15 a.m., Kelly Erin O’Phelan leads Children’s Chapel.
Andre Henry preaches at the 11:15 a.m. English service.
Alfredo Feregrino preaches at the 1:00 p.m. bilingual Spanish/English service.
