This Sunday at All Saints: November 1 (All Saints Day streaming from church)

It has long been the custom in the Western Church to observe All Saints Day by remembering the lives of all who have died — and at our annual parish celebration of this festival, we remember by name all those close to the life of this parish who have died since we last gathered on All Saints Day.

On Sunday, November 1 we will return to the beautiful interior of All Saints. Ministers of the liturgy will be observing the social distance and safety protocols dictated by health care professionals and in compliance with our diocesan guidelines. And while we all long for the time when we can safely return for in person congregational worship, we are not there yet — and being able to center our online service in our familiar and beloved sanctuary is one step toward that eventual goal.

If you would like to ensure a loved one’s name is in our Memorial Book, please send to frontdesk@allsaints-pas.org and in subject line add “For Memorial Book 2020”

The Link for All Saints Sunday is: https://allsaints-pas.org/live-stream/ — and includes Children’s Chapel, the 11:15 a.m. & 1:00 p.m. services.

[Reminder – Set your clocks back one hour Saturday evening!]

11:00-11:15 a.m.

Children’s Chapel led by Kelly Erin O’Phelan: Everyone is invited to light a candle with Kelly Erin and enjoy a story and a craft.

Meditative Chapel: Chapel aims to be a liminal space between the hustle of life and household and a more tranquil, worshipful mindset. We’ll have a reading and a moment of meditation, you’ll just need yourself and a candle if you have one. Link will be provided on Sunday morning.

11:15 a.m. – Requiem Eucharist: Coventry Choir and Chamber Orchestra, directed by Weicheng Zhao will offer Requiem for the Living by Dan Forrest. Mike Kinman preaches. Requiem for the Living projects a wide range of meaningful expression, from a biting essay on the vanity and pain of humamankind to a plea for mercy, and finally a celebration of eternal light.

1:00 p.m. – Día de Los Santos y Fieles Difuntos: Day of Saints and Faithful Departed: Dan Cole & Ensemble offer music. Mike Kinman preaches. This is a festive and colorful celebration in which we honor our loved ones as they were when they were alive.
