Mapping God: Reflections on Our Family’s Round-the-World Exploration of Belief, Spirituality, and Religion
with Reza Aslan & Jessica Jackley
Reza Aslan is an internationally renowned writer, commentator, professor, producer, and scholar of religions. His books, include his #1 New York Times Bestseller, Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth. He is also a recipient of the prestigious James Joyce Award. Aslan is a tenured Professor of Creative Writing at the University of California, Riverside and serves on the board of trustees for the Chicago Theological Seminary and The Yale Humanist Community, which supports atheists, agnostics, and humanists at home and abroad. Jessica Jackley is an entrepreneur, investor, and speaker. Her work over the last decade has focused on financial inclusion, the sharing economy, and social justice. She is best known as a cofounder of Kiva, the world’s first p2p microlending website. Books will be available for purchase.

The Table — Gather | Engage | Grow: The Bible — Where’s the Power: Do I Have Any? (Sweetland Hall)
At The Table we gather together as a parish body to engage both new ideas and each other in order to grow in understanding of our community, ourselves, and our faith. The fall session will focus on understanding the basic shape of the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament. This week will delve into theologies on the margins, Womanist, Liberation, and Queer. Leaders: Kelly O’Phelan.

Preschool (ages 2–4) in Scott Hall 9:00 a.m. — Infant and Child Care and Storytelling 10:15-11:00 a.m. — Sunday School and Worship (Rooms 2 & 3) 11:15 a.m. — Infant and Child Care

Children’s Chapel in the Learning Center (9:00 and 11:15 a.m.) Children K–5th grade join their families in church at the beginning services, then follow the banner out for Children’s Chapel before the sermon, returning for communion. Parents are always welcome to join us in Children’s Chapel.

Visit our Creative Worship Space for Families in the Chapel!
Families are invited to worship together through art and play on our rug in the chapel during any part of the 9:00 and 11:15 a.m. Sunday services. Families should stay with their children as this area is not staffed. All are welcome to sit in the chapel; please be understanding whenever our youngest members make a joyful noise.

Parking on Sundays:

  • On Sunday mornings, please note that the entire south-side of the North Parking Lot (just north of the church on the corner of Euclid Ave. & Walnut St.) is reserved for people with mobility difficulties.

For regular parking, follow ASC Parking signs to Plaza Las Fuentes (garage entrance on Union) or the Kaiser Parking Structure (on the northeast corner of Euclid Ave. and Walnut). Sunday parking at Plaza Las Fuentes is only validated until 1:00 p.m. — after which parking fees accrue. If you’re staying later, please park in the Kaiser Parking Structure, which is free and open until 4:00 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE: On Sundays, All Saints Church can be a very busy place. It is a good idea to plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the service in order to have ample time to park and make your way to the church.
