This Sunday at All Saints: October 4 – Saint Francis Day

Sunday, October 4 is our annual celebration of the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi — the day we remember the great saint of the church who called us all to be instruments of peace and who has traditionally been associated with the Blessing of the Animals. While we won’t have our usual happy chaos of pets-and-Eucharist on the lawn, we will have a socially distanced, drive-by blessing from 9:00 – 10:00a.m. and a virtual procession of  as part of the 11:15 a.m. service.

This week we’re back on Zoom (and yes, we’re working on more services live-streamed from the church… stay tuned!) The link for this Sunday is https://zoom.us/j/817796514 and goes live at 9:45 a.m. It includes the Rector’s Forum, Children’s Chapel, the 11:15 a.m. & 1:00 p.m. services.

9:00-10:00 a.m. –  Drive-by Blessing of the Animals – Before our festive Feast of St. Francis service begins, we would love to see you and your pet – or a picture of your pet – for a safe, socially-distanced, blessing! Simply drive by the front of the church on Euclid (remain in your car) and we will bless your precious beasts from a safe 6 feet away.

10:00 – 10:50 a.m. –  Rector’s Forum: Vote 2020 – California Ballot Initiatives – Juliana Serrano will lead a timely and informative Forum reviewing the initiatives on the November Ballot.
