This Sunday at All Saints: Pentecost Sunday, June 5

On Sunday, June 5th, All Saints Church celebrates Pentecost – both in person and online – with three services at 7:30, 9:00 and 11:30 a.m.

Mark Chase preaches at 7:30, 9:00 & 11:30 a.m. Coventry Choir will offer Veni Sancte Spiritus by Zanaida Robles at 9:00 & 11:30. Incense will be used at the 9 & 11:30 a.m. services. If you would like to sit in an “incense-free” zone, there is seating outside on the lawn.

At 10:15 a.m. The Forum will be Pentecost and Poetry: Featuring Arielle Estoria with Monique Thomas, Tony “Tiny” Red and Mark Chase. A Spoken Word Poet, Arielle Estoria, author and speaker through words that can’t only be heard, but demand to be felt and experienced. She wholeheartedly believes that each person has been given a gift, a gift that ultimately becomes a key to unlocking and releasing not only individual freedom but the freedom of others as well.

Also at 10:15 a.m. Children’s Minister Ben Boquist will preside over Family Hour  — offering music, art & fun in the Learning Center.

Following the 11:30 service, join us on Zoom for an Online Coffee Hour — hosted this week by Greeter Jenn McGaw.

Immediately following the 11:30 a.m. service, join us on the quad lawn for our inaugural Latin Hour! Enjoy the exciting vibe of Latin rhythms. Live music will be provided by composer-in-residence and Grammy Award-winning musician Bill Cunliffe – with Ross Schodeck on bass, Giancarlo Anderson on drums, Rob Hardt on saxophone and Quinn Johnson on piano. We also invite you to learn and play Latin music with us! So come listen, meet people, dance -– or just be!

At 3:00 p.m. in the church, we offer The Gathering: Feast of Pentecost Worship Celebration – Worship, Artwork and a Delicious Reception! The Gathering, a Space for Asian Pacific Spirituality, invites all to a worship service celebrating the Feast of Pentecost and featuring Asian American / Pacific Islander music, art, and voices — and which will celebrate the diversity and beauty of our AAPI communities. All are invited. Free parking is available in the north lot and on the street. This service will be live-streamed at https://allsaints-pas.org/live-stream/.

Finally, at 5:00 p.m. in the church, is Pride: Resilience & Joy Prayer Service. Join the All Saints’ LGBTQ+ Ministry for our PRIDE month prayer service. Our time together will celebrate the Spirit of Joy that dwells in all of us. We also understand that Joy and Pride can be problematic in a culture that tells us we are less than others and that our lives don’t matter. And so this year, it is more important than ever that we celebrate LGBTQ+ lives and live our history as we organize and mobilize to continue to change the future. This service will also be live-streamed at https://allsaints-pas.org/live-stream/.

Streaming at 7:30, 9:00 and 11:30 a.m. is offered on our website’s live stream pageour Facebook page and our YouTube channel. Check out our live streaming page to download service leaflets and take part in our action of the week.

For in-person worship, our guiding principle remains to follow common sense risk reduction guidance for as long as we remain in a declared public health pandemic, so to keep our community safe and well, our in-person worship guidelines include:

  • Medical-grade Masks are required at all times indoors on the All Saints campus.
  • Masks are optional outdoors.
  • Both outdoor and indoor seating is available for services and communion will be served in both locations.
  • Our expectation is that those entering the church will be vaccinated (if vaccination is available to them) and we require that masks be worn by all to protect the most vulnerable.
  • Those who choose to be unvaccinated are requested to participate online.
  • Those seated indoors are asked to maintain social distance between individuals/households.
  • If we reach seating capacity in the church, ushers will guide you to alternative seating areas.
  • We ask you not enter if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms: fever over 100.4°F or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, or if you have had contact in the last 14 days with someone diagnosed with or suspected to have COVID-19.
