From Acting Rector Sally Howard:

With tropical storm Hilary’s arrival tomorrow, I want to update you on our preparation and plans for the safety of our community. In light of the Governor’s office request this afternoon that all Californians stay off the roads tomorrow and Monday, we are asking parishioners to stay home and stream services online. The safety of all of you is our top priority. We will stream services from the church with a small group of staff — and you can tune in from 9:50 a.m. on our streaming page, and from our Facebook page and YouTube Channel.

The church campus will be closed after the 10:00 a.m. service, through Monday, August 21. Summer education class at 9:00, Latin Hour and the Music for the Movement benefit concert will be rescheduled.

I also wanted to let you know that the City of Pasadena has opened the Bad Weather Shelter for our unhoused siblings, and our Safe Haven members have been given that information. Our Safe Haven leader Erica Tamblyn is working closely with Union Station and the city, and she will keep us informed of the needs of our Safe Haven members.

Our Facilities team and the Building and Grounds committee have been working hard to complete storm preparations.

Please know we are praying with you and for you, and for all those who are being impacted by tropical storm Hilary. Please keep us informed of needs that you have during the next few days. For Pastoral Care Emergencies please call 626.298.9551, and to contact Community Care Alliance please email cca@allsaints-pas.org.

The Forum at 9:00 a.m. is on Summer hiatus until fall.

Returning next week:

Summer Choir invites you! All tuneful voices are welcome to participate. You’ve enjoyed Coventry and Canterbury Choirs leading our Sunday services throughout the year. Well, now, it’s your turn to stop singing only in the shower and at the top of your lungs in your car on the way to church! Yep! All you have to do is simply show up at 9:00 AM in the Church Chancel. You’ll rehearse, be vested down in the Choir vesting room in Regas House, and lead the 10:00 a.m. service. It’s your turn to Make a Joyful Noise! Information = Merry Simkins at 626-583-2733 or msimkins@allsaints-pas.org.

Join Us for Family Hour Sunday at 9:00 a.m. — and Children’s Chapel during the 10 a.m. service!
All Saints’ Children, Youth, and Families department hosts “Family Hour” for parents and children (kindergarten through fifth grade) on Sundays, 9:00-10:00 a.m. Parents are welcome to participate or drop children off. For in-person worship, our guiding principle remains to follow common sense risk reduction guidance for as long as we remain in a declared public health pandemic, so to keep our community safe and well, our in-person worship guidelines include:

  • (as of 1/30/23) Because Los Angeles County, including Pasadena, currently have low levels of COVID-19, masks are recommended, but not required, for everyone indoors.
  • Masks are optional outdoors.
  • Both outdoor and indoor seating is available for services and communion will be served in both locations.
  • Our expectation is that those entering the church will be vaccinated (if vaccination is available to them)
  • Those who choose to be unvaccinated are requested to participate online.
  • Those seated indoors are asked to maintain social distance between individuals/households.
  • If we reach seating capacity in the church, ushers will guide you to alternative seating areas.
  • We ask you not enter if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms: fever over 100.4°F or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, or if you have had contact in the last 14 days with someone diagnosed with or suspected to have COVID- 19.
