This Sunday at All Saints: Sunday, August 28

On Sunday, August 28, 2022 we will gather for two services of worship and celebration: 7:30 and 10:00 a.m. Bud Williams will preach at 7:30 in the chapel and Susan Russell will preach at 10:00 in the main church, where music will be offered by the All Saints Summer Choir in their final 2022 appearance.

At 9:00 a.m. we offer a very important Summer Forum “Post Roe v Wade: Conversation and Call to Action” – sponsored by the All Saints Women’s Community focused on the current reproductive rights landscape and the rise of White Christian Nationalism and its impacts on religious freedom. Participants will include Juliana Serrano, Vice President of Advocacy & Equity Planned Parenthood Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley; Dr. Laila A. Al Marayati, Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology at Keck School of Medicine, USC; Dr. Katie Clark, Chair of the National Women’s Political Caucus Greater Pasadena Area; Franci Levine-Grater from Pasadena Jewish Temple & Center; Tricia Gray from Access Reproductive Justice, and the Reverend Mark Chase, Associate Rector at All Saints. Tabling for GOTV (Get Out The Vote) efforts with supporting groups will include the above and Pasadena Chapter of the ACLU, League of Women Voters, Pasadena for Rent Control, All Saints Action Table and Peace & Justice Ministry.

And then following the 10:00 a.m. service, our Summer Fun schedule continues with Popsicle Sunday – back by popular demand! Enjoy a cooling summer treat and fellowship in the shade of the All Saints Oak Tree. Also after the 10:00 service, Children’s Minister Ben Boquist will preside over Family Hour  — offering music, art & fun. Whoever you are, there’s something for you at All Saints Church this Sunday. Join us!

And join Nina Scherer for our Online Coffee Hour on Zoom following the 10:00 a.m. service.

For in-person worship, our guiding principle remains to follow common sense risk reduction guidance for as long as we remain in a declared public health pandemic, so to keep our community safe and well, our in-person worship guidelines include:

  • Medical-grade Masks are required at all times indoors on the All Saints campus.
  • Masks are optional outdoors.
  • Both outdoor and indoor seating is available for services and communion will be served in both locations.
  • Our expectation is that those entering the church will be vaccinated (if vaccination is available to them) and we require that masks be worn by all to protect the most vulnerable.
  • Those who choose to be unvaccinated are requested to participate online.
  • Those seated indoors are asked to maintain social distance between individuals/households.
  • If we reach seating capacity in the church, ushers will guide you to alternative seating areas.
  • We ask you not enter if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms: fever over 100.4°F or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, or if you have had contact in the last 14 days with someone diagnosed with or suspected to have COVID-19.
