Every Sunday at 4:00 p.m. on Zoom — Reclaiming the Bible
This is “bible study” with a difference. Our goal will be to heal and move beyond the misunderstanding, confusion, hurtful interpretation, oppression, and other ways our bible has been used against us. Jesus is the Word of God, and God’s Word is one of love, hope, and reconciliation. This is the bible we’ll strive together to come home to in this small group study. Facilitated by Dr. Charles Foster. Contact Dr. Foster at drcharlesfoster@icloud.com for Zoom access.

A Journey Toward Hope From Ashes to a New Relationship with Earth & One Another
with John Philip Newell
7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Church, followed by a reception in Sweetland Hall from 8:30-9:00 p.m. Internationally renowned Celtic teacher, John Philip Newell, will reflect on the themes of his new book, The Great Search:Turning to Earth & Soul in the Quest for Healing & Home, in the context of the devastating Southern California wildfires — inviting us through word, music, symbol and song to grieve our losses and re-imagine our future. You are invited to bring with you a symbol or photograph representing what has been lost — or a remnant or object from the ashes of your home — and place it by the altar of hope at the front of the church as we lament the sufferings of Earth and humanity and yearn for the way forward together. This will be an Interfaith experience and all are welcome! The gathering will be live-streamed at https://allsaints-pas.org/live-stream/. Books will be available for purchase. (All Saints Church is at 132 N. Euclid Avenue, Pasadena, CA 91101, directly across Euclid from Pasadena City Hall). This service is co-sponsored by All Saints Church and Stillpoint. For more information please call 626.796.1172 or visit allsaints-pas.org.
In preparation for our evening together — we will create an altar of hope at the front of the church on the chancel steps and we invite you to bring a remnant or object from the ashes of your home or a photograph and place it by the altar of hope as we lament the sufferings of Earth and humanity and yearn for the way forward together. The church is open through the week, Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. to place objects — or bring them with you on the night of the 16th. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn in community from this great teacher!
Streaming at 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m. (and for 5:00 p.m. and other streamed services and events) is offered on our website’s live stream page, our Facebook page and our YouTube channel. Check out our live streaming page to download service leaflets and take part in our action of the week.
