At 9:00 a.m. in the Forum: Off to the Oscars with Ken Turan
We welcome back our favorite film critic Ken Turan for his annual pre-Academy Awards look at what’s hot and what’s not in recent film festivals and in the Oscar race — and to give us a taste of his new book, Louis B. Mayer and Irving Thalberg: The Whole Equation. Before his April 2020 retirement, Ken was film critic for the Los Angeles Times and National Public Radio’s Morning Edition as well as the director of the Los Angeles Times Book Prizes. He has been a staff writer for the Washington Post as well as The Times’ book review editor. A graduate of Swarthmore College and Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, he teaches film reviewing and non-fiction writing at USC – and we are so grateful to have him back with us to “talk movies” on Oscar Sunday. Bring your questions and get ready for a whole lot of fun! All are welcome!
Children’s Chapel during the 10 a.m. service
Kindergarten through 5th graders! Come one, come all and join us for Children’s Chapel during the 10:00 a.m. service, where children will experience music, arts and crafts, meditations, storytelling, wiggly fun, spiritual practices for kids and so much more! Children’s Chapel is a space for your child to build church community with children their own age, celebrate diverse cultures and explore who/what God means to them. Here at All Saints, we encourage children and youth to show up as their fully authentic selves every day, ask questions and love one other fiercely through modeling it for them, first, and through our weekly discussions! It is never a dull moment in Children’s Chapel, so please join us! Parents are always welcome. Let’s celebrate and connect! For information please contact Merry Simkins at msimkins@allsaints-pas.org.

Every Sunday at 4:00 p.m. on Zoom — Reclaiming the Bible
This is “bible study” with a difference. Our goal will be to heal and move beyond the misunderstanding, confusion, hurtful interpretation, oppression, and other ways our bible has been used against us. Jesus is the Word of God, and God’s Word is one of love, hope, and reconciliation. This is the bible we’ll strive together to come home to in this small group study. Facilitated by Dr. Charles Foster. Contact Dr. Foster at drcharlesfoster@icloud.com for Zoom access.
Streaming at 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m. (and for 5:00 p.m. and other streamed services and events) is offered on our website’s live stream page, our Facebook page and our YouTube channel. Check out our live streaming page to download service leaflets and take part in our action of the week.
