“We pray for the people of Ukraine and civilians everywhere whose lives are endangered by war and militarism. For peace and the laying down of weapons. For all those who fear for tomorrow, that your spirit of comfort would draw near to them. For those with power over war or peace that wisdom, discernment and compassion would guide their decisions. Above all we pray for all your precious children at risk and in fear — that you would hold and protect them in these perilous times.”
This is the prayer we’ve prayed together every Sunday since the war against Ukraine began. In addition to our ongoing prayers, we continue to encourage support for humanitarian relief for the Ukrainian people through Episcopal Relief & Development.
