A highlight of every year is the Annual Voices From the Heart Luncheon — hosted by the All Saints Women’s Community and highlighting the story of one of the powerful women who help make All Saints All Saints.
This year we are thrilled to celebrate the work and witness of the inimitable Margaret Sedenquist: Disrupter & Visionary.
Margaret’s story began in rough and tumble Wyoming and proceeded to her successes in business, academia, and religion. A businesswoman and entrepreneur, her extraordinary resume includes president of Mohawk Management Corporation and founder of Commercial Pacific Bank in Santa Cruz, California. She has served on the board of trustees of La Verne University since 2010, chaired the board of the Pasadena Playhouse when it reopened in 1986 and has also served as Board Chair of Five Acres in Altadena.
She was Board President of the Pasadena POPS Orchestra, founding Board Chair of the Pasadena Chamber Orchestra, on the board of the Pasadena YWCA, the Institute for Religion and Wholeness at the Claremont School of Theology, and the Arcadia Methodist Hospital Foundation. In 2011, the Women’s Civic League named Margaret as the Woman of the Year.
Her persistence and tenacity also had impact on the Episcopal Church in general and on All Saints in specific due to her commitment and advocacy for the ordination of women, inclusive liturgy and language, and other progressive changes. Come hear how she did it — with grace, courage and humor!
Sunday, June 23, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. in Sweetland Hall.
Lunch catered by Julienne is $30 — with scholarships available.
